Mary E. Gardner

Palmyra: Mary passed away on August 19, 2018 at age 89.  She was born in Palmyra, NY to Peter and Susie Haak. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Fred Gardner; sister, Doris Rooze; brothers, Kenneth, Alvin and Art Orbaker; brothers-in-law, Tom and Dan Gardner; sisters-in-law, Dorothy VanHall and Shirley Rathiel.  Survived by her son, David (Judy) Gardner; grandson, Zach Gardner; brother-in-law, Gordon Gardner; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Mary worked at Garlock for over 24 years.  She was a member of the Palmyra VFW Ladies Auxiliary.  Mary enjoyed gardening, baking, cleaning her home, spending time with her beloved grandson, Zach and spending time with her friend Katie Goetzman.

Family and friends may gather for calling hours from 4-7 PM, Thursday (August 23) at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 123 E. Jackson St., Palmyra, NY, where a funeral service for Mary will be held on Friday (August 24) at 10 AM.  Interment in North Farmington Friends Cemetery.
