"Pip"

Palmyra: Mary Jane passed away on January 1, 2016 at age 77.  She was born on December 25, 1938 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Jason and Anna Mary Richardson.

Mary Jane was predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years, Donald Maitland.  She is survived by her children, Ann (Peter) Ghyzel, Katie (Dave Calder) Maitland and Jason (Janet) Maitland; grandchildren, Allison and Katherine Ghyzel and Austin Maitland; nieces, Jennifer Diehl of Danville, CA and Ginger Steuart of Montclair, NJ; best little friend, Cooper.

Pip and Donald met at Chautauqua Lake, NY.  She and Donald moved to Rochester, NY, where they started their family, which she considered her greatest accomplishment.  Pip was known by her family and friends as a woman of boundless energy, varied interests and tremendous talents.  She was an accomplished knitter and enjoyed spending time with her knitting group.  Pip took great pride in her grandchildren's accomplishments.
