IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Matthew P.
Adams
May 10, 1977 – June 9, 2025
Matthew Adams of Dansville, NY, passed away June 9, 2025 at age 48. Born on May 10, 1977, Matt was the cherished son of Fred and Judy Adams. From an early age, his warmth, creativity, and kindness made a lasting impression on those around him, traits he proudly carried through to his adult life.
Matt wasn't just a good man, he was a husband, father and "grampy" who loved fiercely. A best friend to his wife and the kind of partner most people only dream of. He was also a deeply loving father. The light of his life was his ten-year-old daughter. Their bond was unbreakable and full of joy. She was his heart, his greatest pride, and he showed it in everything he did. His love, however, did not stop there. Matt graciously stepped up as a devoted step father to two deserving girls-choosing them, loving them, and supporting them wholeheartedly. Matt was just beginning his role as "grampy", a role he was clearly made for. The love he showered his granddaughters with will echo through generations. Matt's love knew no boundaries, and his commitment to the people in his life was unwavering and all encompassing.
Matt lived an adventurous life filled with mud trucks and cars. He enjoyed going wherever life took him, living in New York, Florida and North Carolina with friends and family. He was well known for his knowledge of vehicles and his ability to make those around him feel safe. Being a girl dad helped fulfill Matt's dreams of becoming a family man and allowed him to become even more gentle, kind and protective.
Matt worked a variety of hands-on jobs throughout his life, his most recent being East Coast Gear Supply for the last ten years. Matt's ability to connect with customers was something he took great pride in and pushed him to excel in his work.
Matt's unexpected passing has left a void in our lives that feels impossible to fill. He has helped us all remember to live each day to the fullest, always tell your people how much they mean to you, and to leave it all out on the line as if each day could be your last. We are all better for knowing and loving Matt.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Adams; children, Jaycie (Bryan) VanHall, Rielly (Ray Braden) Howard, and Elaina Adams; grandchildren, Emerson VanHall and Zoey Braden; parents, Fred and Judy Adams; siblings, Brian (Marilyn) Adams and Sarah (Shawn) Murray; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; once in a lifetime friends, Dave (Debbie and kids) Williams and Paul (Laura and kids) LaMarti along with many other friends; loving fury companions, Cooper Maverick and Tessie May.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 1-3 PM on Sunday (June 15) at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 104 Rte. 31, Macedon, NY 14502.
