Matthew Nelson Fletcher was born September 6, 1973, at Meyers Community hospital in Sodus NY.  He was a 1992 graduate of Wayne Central High school in Ontario NY.  After graduation Matt joined the Navy as a Navy Seabee and traveled the world from 1992-1997, doing combat time in Somalia Africa.  He was awarded the Navy medal of achievement for his outstanding ability to complete a project on time.  Matt was both an accomplished Farrier and carpenter.  He enjoyed riding wide open country on a good horse and hunting white tailed deer.  As my father-in-law said, "he was born 100 years to late".  He is survived by his father Ralph Fletcher and his children Austin Fletcher, Cody Fletcher, Ethan Fletcher and Ian Chapman.  He is also survived by his brother John (Becky) McConnell, Rick McConnell, Michael (Melanie) McConnell, Kelly (Michael) Lozano, Melanie (Terry) Tarolli and wife Dianna Chapman.  He is predeceased by his mother and stepfather Kathleen and Charles McConnell, daughter Taylor Fletcher, Stepmother Rose Smith and sister Michelle Conrow. He is also survived by his Aunt Pat Conway, Aunt Jane Clark, Ellie Prebich, Cassandra Pangallo, Patrick Conway and Aaron Casey, many nieces and nephews.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.  To share a special memory please visit www.murphyfuneralservices.com.
