Merle W. Luke

Ontario: Merle passed away on September 9, 2016 at age 87. Merle was predeceased by his sister, Lenora Dey and brother, Milton Luke. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Margaret Luke; children, Lauretta (Philip) Rounds and Randy (Joanne) Luke; grandchildren, Christian (Sarah) Rounds, Crystal (Ted) Brown, Amberly, Tessa and Luke (Mollie Malone) Rounds, Adam (Andrea), Erik (Katie) and Matt Luke; 8 great grandchildren; brothers, Todd (Nancy) and Merlyn (Claire) Luke; several nieces and nephews.

Merle was a retired truck driver and he leaves behind a friend in every town he ever drove through and a story about each one of them. The son of Arthur and Doris Luke, Merle was born in Ontario, NY, where he lived his entire life, leaving only to serve his country with the United States Army, during the Korean War.

Family and friends may join for a time of visitation on Tuesday (September 13) from 5-7 PM, at the funeral chapel, 1961 Ridge Rd., Ontario, NY, where his funeral service will be held on Wednesday (September 14) at 11 AM.
