Michael J. Daskiewich passed away unexpectedly on July 15, 2024, at the age of 58. He is the beloved son of Stanley and Alice Daskiewich. He is survived by Kelly Daskiewich and their children Stephanie (Dan), Levi, Jacob, and Sarah; grandchildren, Salem, Dean, Isabella, and Luna; his sister, Michelle (Joe) Richard; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 10AM-11:30AM on Thursday (July 25) at St. John's Lutheran Church, 153 Church Ave., Farmington, NY 14425, where Michael's memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a monetary donation to help create a scholarship in his memory for one Pal-Mac student who has a passion for using their mind and hands in their profession and who chooses to attend a trade school rather than college. Donations for this scholarship can be directed to Stanley & Alice Daskiewich, 950 Alderman Road, Palmyra, NY 14522.
Michael graduated from Palmyra-Macedon High School in 1984. While at Pal-Mac he was in the school's jazz, honors, and marching bands. He also played varsity football and baseball. After high school, he lived with his Aunt Helen and Uncle Stan in Boonville, NY while attending Utica College and graduating with his associate's degree in 1986. Then, he pursued his Bachelor of Technology at SUNY Binghamton University, graduating in 1988.
Michael was self-employed as a very talented contractor and master carpenter that resulted in many happy customers and repeat business in the community, including family and friends. He had a gift for taking clients' requests and designing and executing them with excellence. His talented work is a part of many homes and businesses Palmyra and Macedon.
