Michael T. Sheffield

Rochester: Michael passed away on February 1, 2016 at age 44.  He was born in Sodus, NY on September 20, 1971.  Michael was predeceased by his mother, Ellenor Sheffield.  He is survived by his very significant other, Renee Eichel; brother, David (Joy); sister, Judy (Brian); nieces, Shannon, Stephanie and Tamara; best friend, Carlos.

Michael loved baseball, especially routing for the New York Yankees.  He was a very strong advocate for Gay Rights. Michael often showed his support for the US Military and the troops.  Michael loved giving to others and upon his death he gave the gift of life, by donating his organs to those in need.

Friends may join the family for calling on Saturday (February 6) from 10-11 AM at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 1040 Rte. 31, Macedon, NY, where his funeral service will be held at 11 AM.  Immediatley following the services, friends will be invited to continue the celebration of Michael's life by joining the family at the Palmyra VFW, 4306 Rte. 31, Palmyra, NY 14522.  Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. Contributions in Michael's name may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org .  To leave the family an online condolence, please visit www.murphyfuneralservices.com .
