Michael John Wilson

Pittsburgh, PA: Age 35, formerly of Palmyra, NY, passed away surrounded by family, on Saturday, October 3rd, 2015 after a short but aggressive bout with pneumonia.  Mike was born January 11th, 1980, graduated from Palmyra-Macedon High School and went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Finance with honors from the University of Delaware.  He continued on to a successful financial career on Wall Street, San Francisco, Rochester, NY, and ultimately at WESCO in Pittsburgh, PA.  Mike was an incredibly driven, passionate individual who had the ability to light up any room. He was married to Stephanie Buerkel Wilson on September 14th, 2013.

Mike was predeceased by his father Peter Wilson.  He is survived by his wife Stephanie Wilson; mother, Patricia Wilson; brothers, Matthew and James Wilson; Stephanie's family, Steve and Gail Buerkel, Lauren and Jared Halverson; loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and his beloved dog Dagnie.  His enormous personality and friendly smile will be sorely missed by all.

Friends may join the family for Mike's visitation on Friday (October 9th, 2015) from 4-8 PM at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 123 E. Jackson St., Palmyra NY.  His wonderful spirit and joy will be celebrated at a 10 am Funeral Mass on Saturday (October 11th, 2015) at St. Katharine Drexel Parish at St. Anne's Church, 136 Church St., Palmyra NY.  Interment held in St. Anne's Cemetery.  To leave the family an online condolence, please visit www.murphyfuneralservices.com .
