Nancy L. Henning

Walworth:  Nancy passed away at home on Sunday, June 26, 2016 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.  Nancy was born on July 11, 1936, in Greensburg, PA, daughter of the late Howard and Gladys Murray.  Nancy was married to Bernie Henning on April 26, 1969 and they recently celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary.  Nancy served in the U.S. Army for 7 years, rising to the rank of Captain. While stationed in Germany, Nancy and Bernie met while they both proudly served their country.  After moving to Walworth, Nancy joined the Walworth Post Office as a rural mail carrier, where she worked for 18 years.  Nancy was an avid traveler, visiting 17 countries throughout the world.  She was also an enthusiastic day hiker who visited and hiked in more than 25 of our nation's national parks.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Bernie Henning; children, Mark (Shannon) Henning and Kathleen (Kevin) O'Neill; eight grandchildren; sister, Kathy Murray of Greensburg, PA.

Family and Friends may join for a time of visitation on Wednesday (July 6) from 5-7 PM at the funeral chapel, 1040 Rte. 31, Macedon, NY 14502.  Nancy's memorial service will be held on Thursday (July 7) at 10 AM at Calvary Chapel of Finger Lakes, 1777 Rochester Rd., Farmington, NY 14425.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
