Norma G. Williams

Palmyra: Norma was born on September 3, 1924 to the late Charles and Gertrude McCarthy and passed away on November 20, 2015 at age 91.  She is survived by her husband of 69 ¾ years of marriage, Robert D. Williams; daughters, Norma (Thomas) Gardner and Roberta "Bobbie" (Dennis) Blevins; grandchildren, Leianne (John) Scott, Steven Gardner, Janice (Seth) Hellings and Jeffrey (Shannon) Blevins; great grandchildren, Eric and Sara Scott, Seth Thomas, Elizabeth and Robert Hellings, Kylie and Kenlei Blevins; sister, Jane Henning-Doyle; brother, Charles and Richard McCarthy; many nieces and nephews.

Norma retired from Garlock in 1987.  She and her husband, Robert were long time members of St. Anne's Church and the Moose Club in Palmyra, NY.  While at her cottage on Seneca Lake, Norma would love walking the beach, collecting sticks and building bon-fires.

Friends may join the family for calling on Monday (November 23) from 4-7 PM at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 123 East Jackson St., Palmyra, NY 14522.  Norma's Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday (November 24) at 10AM, in St. Dominic's Church, 97 West Main St., Shortsville, NY 14548.  Her burial will be in St. Anne's Cemetery, Palmyra, NY.  Contributions in Norma's name may be directed to a charity of choice.  To leave the family an online condolence, please visit www.murphyfuneralservices.com .
