IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia A.
(Bostwick) Eddy
September 7, 1943 – December 17, 2025
Patricia Avis Eddy (Bostwick, Dunn), 82, passed peacefully at her home in Farmington, NY on Dec.17th after a brief illness. She is survived by her daughter Karen Dunn, granddaughter Serafine (Eddie) Fernandez & two great grandsons Amari & Zane, her sisters Barbara (Ken) Tiffany, Georgia Bostwick, Terri (Henry) Illnicki. Her brothers Lester (Vicki), Dean (Terri), Gerry (Debbie), Billy, Myron Sitzman, including several nieces, nephews & cousins, all who will miss her dearly. Patricia is predeceased by her brothers Robert & Ricky, her mother Irene Bostwick (Jesmer) and father Robert O. Bostwick of Waverly, NY.
Pat was born in Sayre, PA, where she grew up with 10 brothers and sisters. After graduating from Sayre High School in 1961, Pat married Donald J Dunn of Athens, PA and gave birth to their only child, Karen Marie Dunn. Patty eventually settled in the Macedon/Farmington area where she worked for 25 plus years at Rochester General Motors. Patty was a graduate of Monroe Community College and received her master's degree in accounting from the Rochester Institute of Technology. After retiring, Patty worked as a secretary for the John Kennedy Law Offices in Canandaigua, NY. After his retirement, she worked part time for the Town of Farmington until she passed.
Patty was very active at her church where she formed many lifelong friendships. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and never missed a family reunion. She actively participated in the planning, as well as doing extensive research on her genealogy which she shared with family. Patty found peace while spending time in her backyard where she created an oasis of beautiful plants and flowers for all to enjoy.
Patty loved to travel and had made many trips to Alaska and Arizona, as well as trips to the Grand Canyon and Hawaii. She helped others in many ways and donated much of her time doing so. Patty was known for helping elders, from calling and visiting them, in addition to sponsoring kids in other countries. Patty loved animals and was known to take in ones with special needs.
As her daughter, I would like to thank every person who checked in on her, offered meals, brought cards, flowers and comfort during her hospice. It meant so much to her. I would also like to thank the nurses and doctors at Rochester General, as well as the hospice team at the U of R for their exceptional care.
Calling hours will be Sunday December 21st at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels 1040 Route 31 in Macedon, NY from 3pm to 6pm. A Service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Macedon on Monday December 22nd at 11:00, followed by a reception.
