Patricia Mae Rudy

Palmyra:  On January 4, 2025, our Savior Jesus Christ called Patricia Mae Rudy home at the age of 88.  She was born on November 6, 1936, in Fairport, NY to the late Lawrence and Eva King.  Patricia is also predeceased by her siblings Jeanette Hare, Lawrence King and Wayne King.  Survivors include her loving husband of 64 years, Charles Irving Rudy; children, Stephen (Tammy) Rudy, John (Hank) Rudy, and Melissa (Mark) Colling; grandchildren, Christopher (Kari) Rudy, Joshua (Hannah) Rudy, Jeffery (Sheila) Rudy, Daniel Rudy, Nathaniel (Susi) Luke, and Matthew (Diane) Rudy; 10 great-grandchildren with one on the way; sister Joan Watkins, many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Patricia spent her life caring for her children and grandchildren.  She had a truly unique personality much larger than her height would suggest!  Never afraid to speak her mind, even if it involved colorful language.  She loved music, dancing, reading, playing canasta (almost always winning, she was fiercely competitive), and her crossword puzzles.  Patricia was a patron to many charities including sponsoring children globally. We will miss her greatly but are comforted to know that through her faith she is now, and forever more, in the presence of Jesus.  May the memories of her, that we share, bring us joy and peace during this time of grieving.  Remember her words "I love you more" and "Love you infinity"

Burial services will be held privately on January 16, 2025 with interment at Oakwood Cemetery, in Penfield, NY.  A celebration to honor the life of Patricia will be offered on May 18, 2025 at Fig Hollow Barn, 880 Yellow Mills Road, Palmyra, NY 14522.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Patricia may be directed to her favorite children's charity, Compassion International .  To leave the family a condolence, light a candle, or to upload a photo please visit her tribute wall at www.murphyfuneralservices.com.
