Paul A. Gardner

Marion: Paul passed away on Monday, April 17, 2017 at age 71.  He was born in Canandaigua, NY to the late Carl and Pearl Gardner.  Predeceased by his sister, Nancy Koeberle.  Paul is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 49 years, Marnie Gardner; daughters, Lisa (Denise Carroll) Gardner, Julia (Gaz) Sansom and Sarah (David Sipes) Gardner; his adored grandsons, Jacob, Ryan and Lucas; sister, Beverly (Frank) Koeberle; brothers-in-law, John (Eileen) Koeberle, Bill (Kathy) Baker and Renato (Olga) Nunes; sister-in-law, Louise (Bob) Centro; many nieces and nephews.

Paul was a 1963 graduate of Palmyra-Macedon School District.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army and fought in Vietnam.  During the winter months, Paul loved visiting Surfside Beach, SC.  He was an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer and enjoyed camping.  Paul retired from the American Can and Garlock as a supervisor.  He loved spending time with his family, church family and friends.

Family and friends may gather for a time of visitation on Friday (April 21) from 4-8 PM at the funeral chapel, 1040 Rte. 31, Macedon, NY.  Paul's Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday (April 22) at 12 Noon in Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 3799 Union St., Marion, NY 14505.  His burial and military honors will take place in Macedon Center Cemetery.  Contributions in Paul's memory may be directed to Marion Food Pantry, c/o Pat Trout, 4599 Williamson Rd., Marion, NY 14505.  To leave the family an online condolence, please visit www.murphyfuneralservices.com.
