"Polly"

Mount Morris:  Formerly of Ontario and Webster, NY.  Polly entered into peace at Noyes Memorial Hospital on January 10, 2015 at age 91.  She was predeceased by her husband, William Crombe; parents, Emma and Leonard Thresher; step-son, Barry Crombe; brothers, Leonard, James, Daniel, Leslie, Raymond, Calvin and Richard; sisters, Trudy and Ann.  Polly is survived by her step-daughter, Diane (Timothy) McCallum; grandchildren, Mindy (Steven) Ussrey and Michael (Brandy) McCallum; great-grandchildren, Elijah, Noah and Oliver; sister, Alice McIntyre; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Second only to her love of children was Polly's delight and freedom while riding her mower, and she was extremely proud of Heritage Square.

Polly has a Bachelor of Education degree from Johnson College, graduating in 1945.  She dedicated her life to education as an elementary school teacher for 34 years.  Polly was an active member of Ontario Historical Society and North Ontario United Methodist Church.

Polly's memorial services will be held Monday, March 23, 2015, at 1 PM at North Ontario United Methodist Church, 7200 Ontario Center Road, Ontario, NY 14519.  Her burial will be private in Oakwood Cemetery.  Contributions may be directed to the church or Ontario Historical Society, 7147 Ontario Center Rd., Ontario, NY, 14519 in Polly's memory.  To leave the family a condolence, please visit www.murphyfuneralservices.com .
