R. Terry Dunning

1952-2023

After battling Metastatic Melanoma Cancer, Terry passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on November 9th, 2023. He was predeceased by his parents, Ralph (Doc) and Patricia Dunning, and his sister, Cyd Dunning. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Maureen, and his two daughters, Colleen (Greg) Dunning-Ramos and Crystal Dunning (Kindle). He will be remembered and missed by his sizable extended family and friends.

Terry was born in Syracuse, NY and went on to graduate from SUNY Potsdam and the University of Texas at Austin. He was a beloved teacher in both Austin, TX and later at Hannibal Central Schools in NY, where he touched the lives of countless students and staff. During retirement he volunteered at Rochester Area Interfaith Hospitality Network and Wayne County Action Program, Inc.'s medical transport services. Terry loved music, traveling, camping, cooking and most importantly spending time with family and friends.

There will be no formal calling hours. A private family memorial service will be held. In addition, a Celebration of Life will be scheduled for summer 2024.
