Raymond H. Haak "Ray"
Ontario: Passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at the age of 91. Ray was born on August 12, 1924 to the late Jacob and Cornelia "Hoffman" Haak in Walworth, NY. He was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth "Riker" Haak on May 17, 2009. He is survived by his children; Edward (Ellen) Haak, Patricia (Fred) Morton, Phillip (Ellen Updaw) Haak, Ann (David) Fladd and Stephen (Julie) Haak, 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; brother, Robert (Cheryl) Haak, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Ray worked for over thirty years with Kodak. He enjoyed hunting and farming. Ray had a fondness for his pets, especially his dogs. Ray was an avid watcher of old Western films. Family gatherings were important to Ray and the family remembers many occasions including 4th of July fireworks and pig roasts. Ray will be missed by his family but fondly remembered for the legacy he has left.
Friends and family may gather for a time of visitation on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 4-7PM at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1961 Ridge Road, Ontario, NY 14519. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 10AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1460 Ridge Road, Webster, NY 14580. Interment will follow at Furnaceville Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Ray's name to the American Cancer Society, 1120 South Goodman Street, Rochester, NY 14620. Online condolences may be left at www.murphyfuneralservices.com.
