IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Richard William
Jamison Jr.
April 24, 1970 – September 25, 2025
Richard William Jamison Jr, age 55, of Macedon, NY, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, September 25th, 2025, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He was born on April 24th, 1970, and grew up in East Rochester.
Richard was a determined man with an incredible work ethic, a brilliant mind, and a kind heart. He lived by the motto "adapt and overcome" and carried that spirit with him throughout his life. Giving up was never an option. Over the years he earned numerous certificates, awards, and acknowledgments - a testament to his dedication and skill, and everything he pursued.
For 26 years, Richard worked at Sentry Safe, where he steadily advanced, and made many lifelong friends. Following the closure of Sentry Safe, he continued his professional journey with Thermo Fisher, where he brought the same commitment and excellence that defined his career. And of course, he made many friends there too!
Creative and resourceful, Richard had a gift for woodworking, was a talented cook, and found joy in the outdoors. Weekends at his camp in Camden, New York were among his happiest and most peaceful times, where he could relax, create, and connect with nature. Whether he was stargazing, enjoying morning coffee in his rowboat, building the next idea that popped in his head, or cutting out 8-foot-tall Sasquatches, he felt at peace surrounded by nature. Camp was not just a place for him, it was his "church", as he called it. He enjoyed the little things in life, gave selflessly, and would do anything for the people he loved and cared about.
Richard leaves behind his loving wife of 33 years, Michelle; his beloved children, Joshua and Morgan; parents, Kathleen and Richard Jamison Sr; siblings, Christopher Jamison (Krista), Kimberly Saxon (Matt), and Matthew Jamison (Ling); mother in law, Holly Sharp; brother in law, Michael Sharp (Amy); sister in law, Chalisse Sharp; nephews, Harrison and Jack Saxon; and nieces, Dylan and Johanna Sharp; along with many other family and friends who will carry on his memory and love for eternity.
He will be remembered, not only for his talents and determination, but for his kindness, humor, and love he gave.
To honor the legacy of a man who touched so many lives, a celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 12pm until 7pm at Finn Park- Liberty Lodge, 850 Maple Dr, Webster, NY 14580. ***Bigfoot/ Sasquatch attire is STRONGLY encouraged***
