IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Richard M.
Lowe
June 19, 1931 – March 21, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Richard (Dick) M. Lowe, 93, of Macedon, NY on March 21,, 2025. Dick is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Barbara (Warren) Lowe, devoted sons, Douglas, Robert and Thomas (Marta) and cherished grandchildren: Catherine (Dylan), Elizabeth, Emily (Brian), Allison (Jeremy), Matthew (Lauren) and Christopher (Emily) and beloved great- grandsons: Domenic and Bradley. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and their families. Dick was one of four children of E. Richard and Catherine (Matteson) Lowe who predeceased him. He was also predeceased by his siblings, William (June), Margaret Ireland and Norton (Dorothy). Dick was a graduate of Springville-Griffith Institute and Brockport State Teachers College; he received his master's degree from University of Rochester and was a corporal in the US Army. After meeting his future wife at Brockport, they married and raised their family in Fairport, NY. Dick taught science and health at Penfield Jr. High and later Middle School for 30 years before retiring in 1991. He was a very active man who liked sports and continued to play golf, which he and Barb both enjoyed, into his 80s while wintering in Leesburg, FL. He cherished watching his children and grandchildren play their sports over the years and was an umpire for high school sports. In more recent years they made their home in the Parkwood Community surrounding themselves with generous and supportive friends and neighbors. It is no doubt known by anyone who knew him that he was the kindest gentleman one would ever meet. He will be deeply missed by his family who are truly blessed to have had him as their husband, father and grandfather. There will be a brief service at White Haven Memorial Park (All Seasons Chapel), 210 Marsh Rd., Pittsford, NY, at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to your favorite charity or simply perform random acts of kindness daily.
