Richard (also known as Dick) left us after a long and weary battle with Parkinson's Disease. He was a proud Navy Veteran. He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 61 years, Jean (Belcher); four children, Dori Shaner, Terri (Trevor) Speid, Rich Packard Jr. (Brian Sheesley), and Tina (Rick) Storto; 6 grandchildren, Kirk Shaner, Kristin Shaner (Jim), Crystal Shaner, Brock Shaner, Sommer (Dan) Barnes, and Alanna Hasman (Shane Scott); and five great grandchildren, Kali, Chloe, Teagan, Parker, and Ariya.  

Friends and family may visit on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 2 -3 pm at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 1040 Route 31 Macedon, NY, 14502, where a memorial service will follow at 3 pm.
