Palmyra: Died peacefully on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at the age of 85. Dick was predeceased by his wife Claudine in 2011 and his grandson Theo Schreiner in 1998. He leaves his children; Terry (Tom) Babcock, Curt (Carol) Schreiner, Donna (Kurt) Scribner, Gail (Rick) Pallesen and Pat Sue Cameron; grandchildren, Daniel E. Babcock, Kathleen (Dean) Hockman, Amanda Babcock, David Babcock, Lucas A. Schreiner, Zachary R. Scribner, Noah B. Scribner, Daniel B. Pallesen and Johnathon H.T. Pallesen; great grandchildren Jake, Tommy and Jermiah; other family and friends.
Dick worked for many years as a truck driver; having been employed by both Texaco and Kodak. He was a veteran of the United States Armed Services having served our country through the US Army. He was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish at St. Anne's Church.
Friends and family are invited to visit on Thursday, May 29, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 123 East Jackson St., Palmyra, NY 14522. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, May 30, 2014 at 10AM in St. Katharine Drexel Parish at St. Anne's Church, 136 Church St., Palmyra, NY 14522. Interment will follow at St. Anne's Cemetery. Memorials in memory of Dick may be directed to The Terrace at Newark Garden Program, 208 State Route 88 South, Newark, NY 14513, attention, Terry Silvestri.
