Obituary

Richard W. Turner “Rich” sadly passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at the age of 59. Survived by his loving "Poochie", Jackie Turner of 42 years, predeceased by his son Tyler, father Peter Turner and mother Susan. Also survived by his son TJ (Bree), his brother Garry (Cathy) Turner; two grandchildren Everest and Nova Rae, his best friend John (Lanine) Casella, his puppy Suzi, many nieces, nephews and even more friends.

Rich was born in Canandaigua, New York and lived most of his life in Macedon/Walworth area. Richard was not only a loving friend, brother, father, grampy, and husband, he was a loving soul. He retired from the Town of Perinton Highway department with over 30 years of service in 2022.  Rich also did tree work with his best friend.  He rolled lawns, and plowed driveways, for many years, before, or after work. Rich did this to porivde a better life for his family.  He dedicated himself to the people he loved. He'd give you the shirt off his back, lend you tools to complete a job, but he'd more than likely insist on helping you finish it. Rich always kept busy with projects before and after he retired; he came up with so many and finished them daily only to come up with new ones that same day. All the projects were written out on his hundreds of post-it notes in his barn. Things like a new garden bed, or some shutters for the house. All while maintaining the nicest yard on the block. He was so proud of the things he'd built over the years because he put his entire mind and body into making sure it was the best, and they all were. His pride and joy were not only his accomplishments, but also his family. Nothing brought him greater joy and happiness than when we would all gather for a cookout, or a birthday. He was the life of the party. Richard loved hunting, fishing, riding his Harleys and four wheelers, and his trips to Tupper lake with his brother-in-law Jerry and brother Garry.

His absence will be greatly felt by all whom he loved and loved him.
