Verdow
August 18, 1930 – December 13, 2015
Richard Earl "Dick" VerDow
Palmyra: Passed away on December 13, 2015 with his wife Eldine by his side at the age of 85. Dick was born on August 18, 1930 in Newark, NY to the late William and Sarah "Pattist" VerDow. He is predeceased by his daughter Rebecca "Becky" Kulakowski and son Rodney VerDow. Dick is survived by his wife of 64 years and with whom he shared a friendship for over 65 years, Eldine; son Randy (Mary) VerDow; extended family and many friends.
Dick served our nation through the United States Army during Korea. He was a very proud veteran and had a deep love for his country. He was a bricklayer by trade and Eldine credits the Monje Bros. of Newark, NY for having given Dick the skills needed to be good bricklayer. Dick would take those skills and in 1961 he built his family home in Palmyra. Dick enjoyed fishing and was an avid trapper of red fox.
