Robert J. Finley, Sr.

Manchester:  Robert passed away on December 4, 2017 at age 74.  He was predeceased by his brother, Russell Finley.  Robert is survived by his children, David Finley, Bob Finley, Jr., Michelle Finley, Stacy Finley; grandchildren, Tyler Finley, Nicholas Finley, Gage Blaszak, Devin Mason and Ryan Finley; several nieces and nephews.

Robert proudly served his country in the United States Navy.  He retired from Xerox after 43 years.  Racing, especially dirt track racing was the love of Robert's life.  He started racing at Lime Rock until he retired from driving to give younger drivers an opportunity.  After retiring from driving, Robert became an owner and would enjoy being in the pit interacting with other owners and crew members.  For over 15 years, Robert was a fixture at Paradise Speedway.

Family and friends may gather for a time of visitation from 6-8 PM on Friday (December 8) at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 1040 Rte. 31, Macedon, NY 14502.  Interment in Pittsford Cemetery.  Contributions in Robert's memory may be directed to Victory Junction, www.victoryjunction.org or Canandaigua VA, www.canandaigua.va.gov.
