Robert F. Holtz "Bob"
Farmington: Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at the age of 69. Bob was born on July 8,1948 to the late Mary "Doyle" and Henry Holtz. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Eleanor; daughters, Stephanie (John) Ferrante and Michele (Jason) Reeves; grandchildren, Christopher and Michael Ferrante, Ashley and Autumn Reeves; sister, Joan (Mark) Williams; brother, Bill Holtz; nephew, Jason (Tiffany) Holtz; step-sisters, Laurie Allen and Darlene Martin; step-nieces, Amy, Kimberly, and Kristi; extended family and friends.
Bob was employed for 40 years with Gleason Works in Rochester and retired as a machinist and technical instructor. He was a former District Deputy with the Knights of Columbus. Bob enjoyed bowling and was an avid golfer having a six handicap. He enjoyed his grandchildren very much and each of them shares a strong work ethic similar to their grandfather. The past few years have presented many challenges for Bob physically and Eleanor has been right by his side. His family is at peace knowing that Bob has been freed from those challenges. Bob will be missed but remembered fondly by all who loved him.
Friends and family are invited to gather for a time of visitation on Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 4-7PM at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1040 State Route 31, Macedon, NY 14502. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 10AM in St. Katharine Drexel Parish at St. Patrick Church, Main Street (State Route 31), Macedon, NY 14502. Spring burial will take place at North Farmington Friends Cemetery, Farmington, NY. Expressions of sympathy in honor of Bob may be directed Sisters of Mercy, www.sistersofmercy.org/donate or to your local Knights of Columbus.
