Robert L. Johnson, Jr.      "Bob"

Palmyra:  Passed away at his home on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at the age of 62.  Bob is predeceased by his Mother, Mayola Johnson and Brother, Jimmy Johnson.  Survived by his wife of 38 years Vickie; children, Shaun Johnson, Tim (Melissa) Johnson and Tiffany (James) Crocker, Jr.; Father, Robert L. Johnson, Sr.; 9 grandchildren; sisters, Sue (Paul) Everdyke and Linda Klahn; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Bob served his country through the United States Army and was a proud veteran.  He worked for many years for the Village of Newark, and then the Newark Housing Authority.  He enjoyed hunting and traveling with his wife to such places as Ireland, Scotland and Hawaii.  One of their favorite places to visit was Ocean City, Maryland.  Bob enjoyed dancing and Vickie says he was a good dancer. Bob loved sports and had been active for many years as a coach in both Little League as well as basketball.  Most of all, Bob's family says the he was a supportive father and grandfather who enjoyed his family above all things.  Bob will be missed but his memory will live on through those who loved and cared for him as a family member and friend.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of visitation on Friday, February 21, 2020 from noon until 2PM a the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 123 East Jackson Street, Palmyra, NY 14522 where a celebration of Bob's life will follow visitation.  Expressions of sympathy in memory of Bob may be made in his name to the Palmyra American Legion.  To light a candle, leave a condolence, upload a photo, or order a floral tribute please visit www.murphyfuneralservices.com.
