Robert W. Kirchhoff
Palmyra: Robert passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at age 90. He was born in Palmyra, NY to Otto and Ella Kirchhoff. Robert was predeceased by his wife, Marion Spengler Kirchhoff; 6 brothers and a sister. He is survived by his twin brother, Richard Kirchhoff his daughters, Karen (James) Gottler and Heedi Sevor; grandchildren, Cierra Gottler, Leah and Justin Sevor; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Robert proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a lifelong member of Western Presbyterian Church in Palmyra. Robert was one of the founding members of Wayne Economic Development Corporation and was responsible for keeping Garlock in the Town of Palmyra, he also was the town and village of Palmyra tax assessor in the 1970s, where he did the first tax roll by hand. Robert's family would also like to thank the VA Adult Day Program for making his last few months fun for him, he loved it there!
Family and friends may gather for Robert's graveside service on Saturday (March 4) at 11 AM at Palmyra Village Cemetery, 272 Vienna St., Palmyra, NY 14522. A memorial service for Robert will be held on Saturday (March 4) at 1 PM at Western Presbyterian Church, 101 East Main St., Palmyra, NY 14522.
