Honeoye Falls/Glen Ridge, NJ: Passed away, peacefully, on April 11, 2014 at the age of 91. Born on March 26, 1923 to Margaret and Lars Moe; Robert was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Marion in 2004. He is survived by his 3 children, Robert (Ginny) Moe, Paul Moe and Virginia M. (Dennis) Floss; six grandchildren, Joshua (Nadja) Moe, Andrew (Jess) Moe, Zachary Floss, Benjamin Floss, Jacob Floss and Teneglis Moe; two great-grandchildren, Riley and Brady Moe; brother Ingvald (Dorothy) Moe, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Robert served in the United States Marine Corps., 4th Division, Pacific Theatre 1943-1946. He retired as the Vice President of research for Wyeth Ayerst Labs., of Princeton, NJ. Robert volunteered at the St. Vincent's Nursing Home in Cedar Grove, NJ from 2002 through 2013; where his wife had been a resident. Upon her passing in 2004, Robert decided to continue his volunteer work until he moved up to the Pinehurst Senior Living Community in Honeoye Falls, NY. Over the period of one year, Robert made a lot of new friends and, became the resident photographer. His daughter, and son-in-law, lived nearby and they enjoyed the opportunity to see him more often. Over the years Robert, belonged to and, was active with several Roman Catholic Parishes in New Jersey. When he move up to Honeoye Falls, he attended services with his daughter Virginia and her husband Dennis. Some of the other things that brought joy to Robert were gardening, reading and being by the ocean. His family will miss him very much.
