Robert C. Sherow

Marion:  Bob passed away on August 19, 2016 at age 71.  He was born in Poughkeepsie, NY to the late Gerald and Tecla Sherow.  Bob is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 49 years, Susan (Schiffer) Sherow; son, Robert Sherow, Jr. of Denver, CO; sister, Edye (David) Sherow-MacDonald; sister-in-law, Sandra (Robert) Schiffer-Post; nieces, Suzanne Padilla, BethAnn Vara, Michelle Pope, Melissa Balourdos and familes. Bob's family wishes to thank his friends for their love and support.

Bob was a proud American and very patriotic.  He proudly served his country in the United States Navy Seabees and courageously served 2 tours in Vietnam.   Bob attended Millbrook High School, where he was an excellent athlete and played football, basketball and baseball.  He graduated from Dutchess Community College with an associates degree in surveying.   One of Bob's favorite things to do was to stay involved with his son's baseball leagues as coach and mentor. Bob was a member of the Marion American Legion and Palmyra VFW.

Please join the family for Bob's Memorial Mass on Friday (August 26) at 10 AM at Holy Trinity Church, 1460 Ridge Rd., Webster, NY.  At a later date, interment in Bath National Cemetery, Bath, NY.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bob's name may directed to Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 20, P.O.
