On February 16, 2014 at the age of 84.  Predeceased by his parents Henry and Sadie "Smith" Simmons, Bob was born on December 13, 1929 in Wyoming.  He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carol; three children, Laurie (Mark) Sutherland, Diane (Phillip) Schirck and Wayne Simmons; 6 grandsons, Greg and Tom Sutherland, Mitchell, Ben and Noah Schirck and Zachary Simmons; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Bob graduated Cum Laude from Ithaca College in 1954 and began his career as a physical therapist.  Bob had learned to play the saxaphone and was always willing to tackle a handyman project around the house.  He loved to work in his yard and the family has fond memories of traveling together and how Bob enjoyed camping.  Diane recalls camping up on Limekiln Lake, near Inlet, NY, where the family would go to watch the bears at the town dump.  Bob and Carol would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in June of this year.

There will be no prior calling.  A funeral service to celebrate Bob's life will be offered on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 2PM at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1961 Ridge Road, Ontario, NY 14519.  Spring interment will take place at Webster Union Cemetery.  Memorials in memory of Bob may be directed to the Bay Creek Dialysis Center, 2010 Empire Blvd., Webster, NY 14580.
