Robert Harold Simonds    "Bob"

Farmington/Palmyra:  Passed away at his home on Saturday, Januray 14, 2017 at the age of 79.  Bob was predeceased by his parents Willis and Margaret "Wood" Simonds. He is survived by his wife Joan "Davis" Simonds; daughter, Judith Ann Roza; grandchildren, Robert, Kyle, Curt and Rachel Ann; 4 great grandchildren; brothers, Albert (Elaine) Simonds and Everett ( Sandra) Simonds, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Bob was born in Canandaigua, NY on October 15, 1937 and raised in Victor, NY.  He retired after 44 years of employment with Garlock Industries in Palmyra, NY.   He and his wife enjoyed many activities together.  They loved their cars and would often go to the classic car shows and cruise nights. An avid NASCAR fan, both Bob and Joanie also enjoyed motorcycles and had belonged to the Gold Wing Motorcycle Club.  Bob also enjoyed shooting skeet and trap along with his sporter rifle and pistol.   He also enjoyed pitching horseshoes, was an avid snowmobiler, hunter and fisherman.  Bob would participate at the monthly country and bluegrass jam held at the East Bloomfield United Methodist Church.  He played guitar, banjo and harmonica.  Bob also belonged to the Victor Tractor Club.  He was very active and although his health had been declining, he would not let it hold him back.  He and his wife enjoyed spending time together involved in the activities they loved.
