IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert Hayes
Wyllie
July 3, 1942 – April 2, 2022
Robert H. Wyllie
Manchester/Shortsville: Our loving husband and father, Robert Hayes Wyllie, passed away on April 2, 2022, after a long illness. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nancy; daughter Elizabeth Wyllie (Randy Way); son Matthew Wyllie and brother Thomas Wyllie. He was predeceased by his parents Robert and Edna Wyllie.
Bob was a graduate of Savannah High School and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from RIT. He worked at Garlock for 43 years and retired in 2007. Bob was very proud to have served for 22 years in the Air National Guard and Army Reserve retiring in 2002 with the rank of Master Sergeant (E8). Bob never met a stranger—he loved people, animals and his family. Over his lifetime he was a member of the Manchester Fire Dept, a Jaycee, a Mason in the Savannah Lodge, and an Army reservist. He was proud to be a member of the NRA and enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends. Many a vacation was spent at the family camp in Cranberry Lake, NY. After retirement in 2007 he and Nancy enjoyed many years of RVing-- heading somewhere warm in the winter and camping with friends over the summer. They also took many bus trips around the country and enjoyed several cruises. The highlight of his life was visiting Scotland (his heritage) with his wife and children.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of visitation on Monday, April 11, 2022 from 4-7PM at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 1040 State Route 31, Macedon, NY 14502; where a celebration of life service will be offered on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 11AM.
