Williamson/Avon Park, Florida: Passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2014. Ron was born on February 9, 1933 in Williamson, NY to Isaac and Bertha Ocque. He was predeceased by his first wife, Joan Reiss Ocque; second wife, Providence "Pearl" Ocque; step-brother, Eugene DeFisher. Ron is survived by his children Carl (Darlene) Ocque, Dean (Pam) Ocque, Susan (Gregg) Ake, Alan (Brenda) Ocque and Holly (Danny) Santiago; step-daughter, RoseAnne (Dan) Schall; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, step-grandchildren and step- great grandchildren; sister, Audrey Frisch; twin brother, Donald Ocque; step-sister-in-law, Halletta DeFisher; other family, friends, nieces, nephews, special friends and neighbors in Florida.
Ron was an veteran of the United States Army and proudly served his country during the Korean conflict. He was the past Williamson Fire Chief and Commander of the Williamson American Legion Post No. 394. During his lifetime, he spent a number of years working in different capacities for the Town of Williamson. He spent most of his adult working years with Xerox Corporation. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting and fishing. His children talk about how in his later years they remember him teasing his waitresses relentlessly. Ron's family recalls that he really developed a lot of strong friendships with his neighbors at his home in Florida. Ron will be missed by his family and friends.
Friends may visit on Friday, July 25, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1961 Ridge Road, Ontario, NY 14519. His graveside service, with military honors, will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 10AM, at Lakeview Cemetery, Lake Road, Pultneyville, NY.
