Clark, Roscoe J.     "Rocky"

Palmyra:  Passed away on Tuesday,July 7, 2015 at the age of 96.  Rocky was born on Auguat 31, 1918 in Junius, NY to his late parents, Magdalena "Baker" and James Clark. Rocky was one of 13 children.  He was predeceased by his wife, of 57 years, Clara Louise Benjamin Clark, in 1998.  He is survived by his daughters Lorraine (Ron) Reeve and Connie (John) Saburro; grandchildren, Jennifer (Scott) Adelmann and Amy (Eric) Zimmerman; great granddaughter, Catherine Adelmann; sister, Daisy Ross, other family and friends.

Rocky loved good food and socializing with family and friends.  He was very kind with a generous heart.  His wonderful smile could light up a room.  Rocky so enjoyed watching and interacting with his grandchildren, Jennifer and Amy, as they grew up.  He just chuckled watching his great granddaughter, Catherine, enjoy life.  He will be missed by his family but fondly remembered.

Rocky was a veteran of the United States Army having served his country during WWII. Rocky worked at Stromberg Carlson which later became General Dynamics. He then took a job with Harris Corporation from which he retired.

Friends and family are invited to gather for a time of visitation on Sunday, July 12, 2015 from 11AM to 1PM at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 123 East Jackson Street, Palmyra, NY 14522 where a service will follow the visitation at 1PM.  Interment will be at the East Newark Cemetery, Vienna Street, Newark, NY, on Monday, July 13, 2015 at 11AM with military honors.  Memorials may be made in Rocky's name to the House of John, 14 Spring Street, Clifton Springs, NY 14432, or the American Cancer Society, 1120 South Goodman Street, Rochester, NY 14620.  Online condolences may be left at www.murphyfuneralservices.com
