Sharon Lee Avery

Rochester:  A loving mother, sister, grandmother and very dear friend to so many. Always had a big smile and one of the kindest hearts we have ever known; our mother Sharon Lee Avery, born in Elmira, New York on October 4,1945, passed away peacefully at Strong Memorial Hospital at the age of 76 on March 7, 2022.  She is predeceased by her mother Hazel "Ruth" Mary Stearns;  father David Birch Spicer; son John David De Leury and sister Christine Mc Millan. Sharon is survived by her daughter's  Terri De Leury and Sabrina Coleman; grandchildren Joshua Coleman (Shannon Perry), Brad Gay, Spencer Gay, Alyssa (Ryan) Cheasman; brother's Lonney (Evelyn) Spicer and Russell Spicer.

Sharon graduated class of 1963 East High School. She went on to work with children, all her life, with in home day care at Saint Boniface School as a preschool teacher's aide. Her colleagues knew her as a kind soul, always willing to go above and beyond for the children in her care. A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date. She will be laid to rest with her son. Mother, life will never be the same without you, but we all know your dancing in the sky with your son in your arm's.
