Sharon passed away peacefully at home at age 79 on Friday, June 13th, after a long illness, surrounded by loved ones.

Sharon was a warm, compassionate soul whose presence brought comfort and joy to everyone who knew her. She shared her love generously—through her kind words, gentle heart, and quiet strength.

A talented seamstress, Sharon was known for her beautiful custom drapery and upholstery skills. She was well known in the Greater Rochester area for her beautiful work that she installed with her loving husband for many years.

Outside of her work, she found joy in tending to her beautiful garden around her Palmyra home. She had a deep love for animals, always opening her heart and home to pets, particularly cats, in need.

She was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Doris Leonard and brother, Tom Leonard. Sharon is survived by her faithful husband of 41 years, Robert Koch; children, Michelle Yerden, Christopher Bond, and Daniel (Chrissy) Koch; siblings, Charlotte (Raul) Herrera and John (Colleen) Leonard and 5 grandchildren.

Family and friends may gather for visitation from 4-6 PM on Wednesday (June 25) at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 104 Rte. 31, Macedon, NY 14502.
