Macedon - Shirley passed away surrounded by her loving family on July 1, 2026.
She was predeceased by her husband, James A. Youngman; sons, James F. Youngman and William J. Youngman; son-in-law Norbert D. Miller; 2 sisters; and 2 brothers.
Shirley was survived by daughters, Cynthia and Michael Schuth, Sandra and John Ellis, Kathleen Miller; and daughter-in law, Dawn Youngman; grandchildren, Emily and Preston Smith, Ashley and Ryan Braeger, James Ellis, Jack and Wendy Ellis, Stephanie and Randy Lada, Sarah Ellis, Branden and Coty Kitchens, Brittney Youngman, William and Rachel Youngman, Cameron and Abbie Youngman, MacKenzie (Josh) Youngman, Mikala and Julia Miller, and McKenna (Griffin) Miller, as well as 25 great grandchildren.
Shirley cherished her winter home in Florida, where she and her husband spent over 30 beautiful years, and held a fierce, steadfast love of the New York Mets. She lived each day with a quiet strength and unwavering devotion to her family. Shirley was a pillar of love and loyalty to her children, grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was happiest when sitting on her front porch, drinking her coffee and saying the rosary at 5:00 am, and visiting with friends and family. Shirley’s warm spirit created a welcoming home and she will be deeply missed by many. Her faith was the foundation of her life. Shirley extended kindness without expecting anything in return. The values Shirley lived by will remain in the hearts of many.
Shirley’s Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday (July 6), 10:30 AM at St. Katharine Drexel Parish at St. Patrick’s Church, 52 W. Main St., Macedon, NY 14502. Shirley will be laid to rest in Macedon Village Cemetery.
