Stephen R. Hanagan

Palmyra: Passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at age 75.  He was born on May 27, 1940 in Canandaigua, NY.  He was predeceased by his brother, Tom Hanagan and sister, Linda Scheik.  Stephen is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carol Hanagan; son, Todd (Suni) Hanagan; daughter, Kelly (Jim) Thomson; grandchildren, Sean and Hanna Thomson, Melissa Eagley and Matt Bowman; great grandchildren, Wyatt, Jack and Chase; siblings, Donald (Sylvia) Hanagan, Helen Sadler, Lowell (Betty) Hanagan, Terry (Pat) Hanagan, Debbie Hanagan and Sheila (Bruce) Geldof.  Stephen was a model maker at Xerox for over 30 years.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman.  Most of all, Stephen loved to be with his grandchildren and enjoyed watching them participate in sports.

Friends may join the family for calling hours on Sunday (April 17) from 2-5 PM at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 1040 Rte. 31, Macedon, NY 14502, where his funeral service will be held on Monday (April 18) at 10 AM.  Interment in Palmyra Village Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Stephen's name may be directed to Clifton Springs Hospital Oncology Center, www.cliftonspringshospital.org/Community/Make-a-Gift.
