Macedon - Stephen passed away suddenly on August 31, 2026 at the age of 34. He is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Gerald and Lois Nisbet, maternal grandfather Thomas Hill; Aunt, Karen Mattison Tomeno; he is also predeceased by several cousins.

Stephen is survived by his parents, Jerry and Stacy Nisbet; brother, Nicholas and Honna Nisbet; nephews, Nikolai and Dominic; grandmother, Margaret Hill; grandfather, John and Jeanine Mattison; longtime partner, JJ Key; beloved dog, Marty; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Stephen came into this world on February 4th, 1992. He was a kind and compassionate person who cared deeply for everyone around him.

Stephen loved spending time with his family. He was always happiest sitting at a campfire in the backyard with his family, talking and relaxing. Whenever he would visit his parents, weather permitting he would be the first one to light the campfire.

As a child Stephen played the fife in the Towpath Volunteer Fife and Drum Corps. He performed in many different places including Disney World in Florida, the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Savannah Georgia and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade to name a few.

Stephen's greatest passion was music. He traveled to Europe as a member of the Palmyra-Macedon Select Choir in his Senior year. He performed in several concerts in Germany and Austria.

Stephen was a talented musician. He loved to write music and played several instruments throughout High School.

He attended concerts all over the United States and abroad, including a trip to England to see Roger Waters. He loved how music brought people together.

Stephen loved Halloween and going to scary movie conventions to meet the actors from his favorite scary movies.

Stephen enjoyed many sports. He attended Amerks and Red Wings games with his family. He watched WWF Wrestling but his favorite sport was football. Stephen was a diehard Buffalo Bills fan. He attended several Training Camps with his family and watched every game with true Bills red, white and blue pride and passion.

Family and friends may gather for visitation from 4-6 PM on Friday September 11th, Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 1040 Route 31, Macedon, NY 14502. A celebration of Stephen's life will be held on Saturday, September 12th from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the Front Pavilion at Bullis Park, 1777 Canandaigua Road, Macedon, NY.
