Susanna C. Knapp

Sodus: Formerly of Palmyra, NY, passed away on August 11, 2016 at age 98.  Susanna was born in Ceballos, Cuba to the late William and Lillian Rolston.  She was predeceased by her husband, C. Robert Knapp; brother, William Rolston; sister, Jane Rising.  Susanna is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Fred) Kaempffe; grandchildren, Erich and Brandon.

Susanna worked as an Executive Secretary for Garlock, Palmyra, NY.  She belonged to the Garden Club and Historic Palmyra and Order of the Eastern Star for many years.  Susanna was a long time parishioner of Palmyra Baptist Church, where she sang in choir for many years.  An avid gardner, Susanna would often tend to her home gardens.  She loved collecting antiques and going to antique shows.  Susanna and her husband, C. Robert, traveled all over the world and especially loved her travels to Australia and New Zealand.  Together, Susanna and C. Robert would take their RV to Naples, FL for the winter, until purchasing a home there.  Susanna will always be remembered as a person who would like to do for others and expect nothing in return.

Family and friends may gather for Susanna's funeral service on Wednesday (August 17) at 11 AM at the funeral chapel, 123 E.
