It is with deep sorrow and endless love that we announce the passing of our beloved mom, cherished sister, Nana, and friend.

Tam was predeceased by her parents, Norman and Margaret McPherson; husband, George "Bud" Abbott; brother, Stan McPherson; and granddaughter, Elizabeth Spencer.

Tam is survived by her daughters, Vicki Abbott, Tricia (Dave) White, and Andrea (Jim) Spencer; sisters, Patricia Goddard and Judy Powell; grandchildren, Samantha (Dan) Valdivia, Alex (Scottie) Robusto, Jonathan Spencer, Shelby Robusto, Olivia Spence, and Parker Spence.

Anyone who knew Tam had the privilege of knowing one of the most loving, caring, kind, and supportive person on Earth.  Tam was well known in her community, Palmyra, NY. She had her own daycare business in her home for 40 years.  Taking care of children was her calling in life.  She treated every child that came into her home as her own, always giving them lots of love and care.

Tam enjoyed her flower gardens and indoor plants. She was always very excited about a new shoot or bud appearing! She also loved the birds that visited.  She'd spend hours watching the birds at her bird feeder in the backyard.

Her absence leaves a space no one else can fill, but her light lives on in every memory, every story, and every heart she touched. We will love you and dearly miss you forever, mom.

Friends and family are invited for a time of visitation on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, from 4 – 7 PM at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1040 State Route 31, Macedon, NY 14502. Tam's funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 10AM at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1040 State Route 31, Macedon, NY 14502. Tam's burial will be held privately at the Palmyra Village Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Tam may be made to CURE Childhood Cancer or an animal shelter of your choice.
