IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Terrance "Terry"
James Skerrett, Sr.
July 3, 1959 – December 2, 2023
Terrance "Terry" James Skerrett, Sr., aged 64 of Lewis, NY, was tragically taken from his family too soon, on the morning of December 2, 2023. He is survived by his parents Gerald and Leona (Johnston) Skerrett; former wife Mary Skerrett-Snyder (William), and their daughter Tiffany Skerrett (Jeremy Hansen), sons Anthony Skerrett, Terrance Skerrett II (Katrina), and Martin Skerrett (Chelsea Mainster); his step-son Allen Givens, Jr.; 6 grandchildren (Faith, Kayden, Gianella, Eowynn, Tristan, & Gideon); siblings Kevin Skerrett (Kathy), Patrick Skerrett, and Karen Skerrett Smith (Scott); and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Born July 3, 1959, Terry was a man who loved the outdoors, specifically the Adirondacks. With his retirement, he achieved his dream of owning his own home and land in his beloved mountains, with the plan of it being a legacy to his children and grandchildren. An avid camper and hiker, over his lifetime he climbed as many mountains as he could, and achieved the prestige of becoming an "ADK 46-er", for successfully climbing and cataloguing his goal of all 46 Adirondack high peaks. He always had a twinkle in his eye, mischief in his smile, and was always ready with a good Dad-joke and a chuckle. He was immensely loving, caring, and close with his family, and adored his grandchildren. His family is devastated by his loss.
