Leone, Terrance C.  " Terry"

Palmyra:  Passed away suddenly on Friday, January 1, 2016 at the age of 66.  Terry was born on May 11, 1949 to the late Marge "Hood" and Chuck Leone.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Peggy Campbell,  He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Karen; daughter, Terra (Ronnie) Leo; son, Troy (Kim) Leone; grandchildren, Morgan, Nicholas, Veronica, Olivia, Brayden, Derek, Avryana and Gabriella; brother, Richard (Judy) Leone; sister, Kathy (Roger) Grandy; extended family and many friends.

Terry grew up in Palmyra and was a 1967 graduate of Palmyra-Macedon Central High School. He would marry Karen "VanScott" and the two raised their daughter Terra, and son Troy, in Palmyra where Terry remained active in the community.  Terry is a past president of the Palmyra-Macedon school board.  He was also active with the Palmyra Community Center where he supported events to help raise money for the various activities that the staff and volunteers facilitate throughout the year.  Terry spent his early years as an x-ray technician and would later own and operate Catamount Associates, a medical billing company based  in Canandaigua and Upstate Medical. He was the first male president of the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) where he served as President for four years.  Terry had a passion for his work, community and his family and will be missed by all,  but remembered for his many contributions.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Terry will be offered on Friday, January 8, 2016 at 1PM at Cross Creek Church, NY State Route 31, Palmyra, NY 14522.  Interment will be held privately at Palmyra Cemetery. A reception will follow the memorial service at the Palmyra American Legion, James R. Hickey Post 120, 128 Cuyler Street, Palmyra, NY 14522.
