"Terry"

Ontario/Walworth:  Peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at the age of 66.  Terry was born in Rochester, NY on July 10, 1950 to the late Walter J. and Mary R. McHugh.  He is survived by his loving wife Joanne; children, Toni (Steve) Barone, Michele (Jason) Vigil and Christopher McHugh; 13 grandchildren; sister, Alice (Masood) McGee-Safid; brothers, James and William (Debra) McHugh; several nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and his beloved cat Maxie.

Terry enjoyed woodworking and had recently completed making several Adirondack chairs. He also enjoyed gardening where he grew grapes and had planted a vegetable garden this year.  He and Joanne appreciated taking care of the lawn, and planting flowers in the front of their home.  They both enjoyed what their efforts did for the aesthetic value of their home.   He and Joanne liked to watch many of the old time, classic, movies that starred such individuals as Humphrey Bogart.  Most of all, it seems like Terry enjoyed his family.  He was a likeable guy who had a special relationship with his wife, siblings and grandchildren.  He will be missed but the memories of Terry will live on through his family.

There will be no prior visitation and services to celebrate Terry's life will be held privately.  The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at the SICU for the compassionate care Terry received during his short stay at Rochester General Hospital.  Donations may be made to Lollypop Farm in memory of Terry.  Online condolences may be left at www.murphyfuneralservices.com.
