Vero Beach, Fl./Ontario, NY: Went to be with the lord, surrounded by her family in her home, on Friday, December 26, 2014 at the age of 45. Theodora was born on October 26, 1969 in Rochester, NY to George and Irini (Palassis) Konstantinou. She was predeceased by her father; survived by her husband John Plantenberg; 3 children, Irini, Evaggelia and Michael Plantenberg; mother, Irini Konstantinou; sister Elpiniki Chamberlain; brothers, Prodromos (Jeanee) and Elias (Anna) Konstantinou; sister Maria (Omiros)Zambigadis; nieces and nephews, George and Irini Konstantinou, Irini, George and Sophia Konstantinou, Georgeia and Stratos Zambigadis; father and mother-in-law, Michael and Patricia Plantenberg; sisters-in-law, Debbie (Tom) Cumpston, Kim Peek, Rebecca (William) Seymour, Sarah Plantenberg; nieces and nephews, Jeff and Karissa Cumpston, Josh Peek, Hannah and William Seymour.
Theodora was a 1987 graduate of Wayne Central High School and continued her education at Erie Community College. She and John were married on June 23, 1996. She and her family relocated to Vero Beach from Ontario, NY 9 years ago. She was employed by the City of Vero Beach Marina. Theodora always put her family first and was an active member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Fort Pierce, Florida where she served as the former GOYA director and loved to volunteer.
Friends and family may gather for a time of visitation on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 4-8PM with Trisagion at 7PM at the Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach, Florida. Funeral service, 10AM, on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 2525 South 25th Street, Fort Pierce, Florida, Proistamenos Constantine Xanthakis. Interment Crestlawn Cemetery, Vero Beach, Florida. Memorials in memory of Theodora may be made to the church. Online condolences may be left at www.murphyfuneralservices.com.
