Thomas J. Hemstreet, 55, of Ontario passed away suddenly Thursday, January 27, 2022 as a result of a motor vehicle accident. He was the son of the late Donald and Mary Mulry Hemstreet.

Tom was a good-hearted man, involved in scouting for years. He was an Eagle Scout, who loved the outdoors and ran New York and Connecticut scout camp during summers. He worked for Wayne Central Schools as a bus driver and was well-loved by his students. Tom also loved photography and enjoy watching Star Wars with his son, Ryan.

Tom is survived by his beloved son, Ryan Hemstreet of Ontario, NY;  one brother, Donald Hemstreet of New Baltimore, NY; two sisters, Catherine Saxton of Hamden, CT and Peggy (Chuck) Fulkerson of Dunnellon, FL; and sister-in-law Kathryn Hemstreet of Ansonia, CT. He was predeceased by his brother Charles Hemstreet in September 2020. He leaves several nieces, nephews, and cousins who adored him and tons of scouting friends and families.
