Ontario – Thomas passed away on October 15, 2024 at age 80. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Bonnie Metz; children, Thomas Metz, Jr., Andre (Sherry) Metz, and Ann (Gary Avery) Metz; grandchildren, Elizabeth Bozeat; great grandchildren, Bella and Artemis; several nieces and nephews.

When Thomas was younger, he loved to fish on Lake Ontario, Seneca Lake, and Cayuga Lake.  He and his wife, Bonnie, owned a small boat and enjoyed being on the water.

Thomas was a drum corps enthusiast and traveled around New York and Canada with one of the local drum corps.  He was very proud of his German heritage and loved listening to polka music and watching Lawrence Welk.  He also played trumpet.

In Thomas' later years, he enjoyed building birdhouses and would give them to friends and neighbors.
