IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Thomas William
Morgan
October 24, 1943 – January 13, 2025
Macedon – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas William Morgan, age 81, who left us peacefully on January 13, 2025, surrounded by his family. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Thomas was a pillar of strength and a constant source of love and support for his family. He retired from Xerox as an engineer, but found a great joy working as a substitute teacher at several schools, Habitat for Humanity and Reading Buddies. Born on October 24, 1943 to William Morgan and Martha Embt, Thomas grew up with a passion for the great outdoors. He found joy in hunting and fishing, which defined his leisure time and forged many of his lifelong friendships. His love of nature was only surpassed by his love for his family, whom he championed tirelessly. It is difficult to find a photo of Tom that does not have a deer, fish, or his family in it with him. For 51 years, Thomas shared a loving marriage with Elaine (Smolos) Morgan. He was the proud father to three children, Daniel (Cheryl), David (Jeanette), and Sarah (Kevin Boccolucci), whom he encouraged with unwavering support. He adored his grandchildren, Chole, Gavin, Evan, Nicholas, Morgan, Maxwell, Gianna, Leo, and Weston Boccolucci. He taught them target shooting, how to cast a fishing line, how to drive a car with manual transmission and the proper way to eat chocolate ice cream is with peanuts on top. Thomas is also survived by his siblings, Marian Norton, Susan Blair, Richard (Elise) Morgan, Margaret Hise and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at a future date and to be announced at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Hammondsport, NY. The family requests donations to be made to Shriners Children's Hospital or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
