New Palestine, Indiana:  Tracy Tyree Burden, age 50, of New Palestine passed away on Monday, February 10, 2014 after a long illness.  Tracy was born in Ogden, Utah to Greg and Dee Amsden of Palmyra, NY.  Tracy graduated high school in Twin Falls, Idaho, attended community college and became a veterinarian tech.  Tracy had a life long love for animals.  In 1985, Tracy married M. Miles Burden at The Seattle Washington Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Tracy dedicated her life to her family as both a wife and mother and was very active in her church.  She had lived in San Antonio, Dallas and Lubbock, Texas.  She and the family moved overseas and lived in Puerto Rico; Vienna, Austria and Budapest, Hungary. Tracy was adept to thriving in foreign cultures and was an accomplished linguist; speaking Spanish, German and Hungarian.

Tracy loved to watch nature in full bloom, regional birds in their splendor, and all of God's creations that provide variety and diversity upon the face of the earth.

Besides her husband, Tracy is survived by her children, Erika Burden (Joseph) McWhirter of Lubbock, TX, Evan M. Burden, Elijah R. Burden, Emily D. Burden all of  New Palestine, IN; grandchildren, Grace McWhirter of Lubbock, TX and Arya Burden of Budapest, Hungary; five sisters; four brothers and many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may visit on Saturday, February 15, 2014 from 9:30 to 11AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 114 N. Rampart Drive St., Shelbyville, Indiana 46176.  A funeral service will follow at 11AM.  A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2014, 1PM, at the Palmyra Cemetery, Palmyra, NY.  Memorials in memory of Tracy may be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), PO Box 96929, Washington, DC, 20090-6929, or to your local humane society.  Condolences may be left at www.murphyfuneralservices.com .
