Vanny Chea

Victor – Vanny passed away on May 9, 2022 at age 73. She was predeceased by her sister, Sary Khieu.  Vanny is survived by her husband, Sambo Chea; children, Bolina (Jason) Laber and David Tauch; grandchildren, Jackson and Addison Laber; sisters, Vira Khieu and family and Virath Vann and family.

Vanny was a beloved wife, mother, sister and friend. In her early years she was a respected nurse in Cambodia. After immigrating to escape from Pol Pot in the early 1980s, she became a dedicated employee and friend to everyone she met. In 2010 and 2011, she suffered from major strokes which caused numerous health issues.  However, she did not let that stop her.  When she was well enough, you would find her at the mall or Kohl's in the clearance aisles of course! Her smile was infectious! She will be terribly missed.

Family and friends may gather for visitation from 4-7 PM on Friday (May 13) at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 1040 Rte. 31, Macedon, NY 14502.  Funeral and cremation services will be private.
