Veronica C. Sommer

Penfield: Formerly of Long Island, NY, New Hampshire, Florida, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday January 26, 2014 at age 94.  Veronica was predeceased by her husband, Frank Sommer.  She is survived by her children, Carol (James) May, Susan (Fred) Bossong, Frank (Anne) Sommer, Lois (Edward) Adamy, and Bruce Sommer; grandchildren, Jason (Renae) May, Jody (Anthony) Kirincich, Jamey (Lauren) May, Holly Bossong, Heather (Andy) Bobrek, Clayton, Sam and Becky Adamy, Kevin Sommer, and Brad Sommer; great-grandchildren, Emily and Sam Bobrek, Julia and Kiersten May, Natalie and Carolyn Kirincich, Sam Adamy; brothers, Thomas Ackley of Florida and Lawrence Ackley of Connecticut; sisters, Emily Brookbank of Florida, Florence Johnson, and Jeanne Snyder of New York; daughter-in-law, Dori Sommer; several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Veronica loved music and dancing, especially line dancing.  She was a devoted, life-long fan of Lawrence Welk.  Veronica always took great pride in a well kept home and personal appearance and belonged to the Widows Club at St. Aloysius in Louisville, KY.

Friends are invited to join the family Friday, January 31, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish at St. Mary's of the Lake Church, 5823 Walworth-Ontario Road, Ontario, NY 14519.  Her commital service will be held at Mount Calvary Cemetery on Friday February 7 at 1 PM in Manchester, NH.  Contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice, in Veronica's memory.
